1 Trick In The BIN & Another Gets The SCISSORS! | Craig & Ryland's Magic Review Show

Craig & Ryland are back after a fun Christmas time with five brand new magic tricks to review. It's still 2021 and there's plenty of time to break down more tricks before the New Year. For the last Review Show of 2021, Craig & Ryland look over Passing The Weights, Easy Money, Ribbon CAAN, Appearance Bag and Milk Box.

1 Trick In The BIN & Another Gets The SCISSORS! | Craig & Ryland's Magic Review Show

As you may have guessed from the title, one of these tricks was thrown into the bin while another was cut into pieces. The Magic Review Show is the perfect opportunity to learn firsthand about the newest magic tricks. Craig & Ryland examine each trick, perform it and give it their own individual rating. Like it or hate it, they will let you know.

Passing The Weights

Pop Haydn has introduced a new routine for Chink a Chink called Passing The Weights. This routine features four heavy weights spread across the table the magician uses to make them magically jump from under one hand to under another. Rings-N-Things goes on to state, "The set comes with four hollow weights and a matching shell weight. The set is supplied with instructions for the original routine. Each set includes a luxurious redwood carrying case that has a glossy lacquer finish and vanilla colored, faux leather padded interior. The carrying case serves to protect and contain the set, and makes an ideal presentation for the introduction of the weights." It's an incredible beautifully crafted set and a great way new twist for Chink a Chink. Craig loved this set, giving it a 100% rating. Ryland followed up with 119%.

Easy Money

Spencer Kennard presents Easy Money, the next iteration of Tom Burgoon's Power Pickpocket. This is a solid piece of visual magic featuring money. Not only will you be able to recreate the visual moments included in the original variation, but you can use this if you are a magician who specialises in close up. Penguin Magic goes on to say, "Make a wallet appear, vanish, transpose, and even be produced from the most unexpected places. It really seems like wallets are just coming out of nowhere!" Easy Money is simply easy, fun to do and very visual. Craig loved this routine, giving it a 100% rating. Ryland followed up closely with 95%.

Ribbon CAAN

Jean-Pierre Vallarino has recently introduced Ribbon CAAN, a new variation of performing ACAAN with an added gimmick. The idea is simple: the magician gives their viewer a prediction before making a ribbon and then asking the spectator to choose a number. From there you simply count to the number chosen. The problem with this product is it doesn't work at all, there's not many situations where it can be used and it can't be examined by your audience at all. As a result, neither Craig nor Ryland liked this trick. The former gave it a 0% while the latter followed up with -100%.

Appearance Bag

The next trick Craig & Ryland looked at is Appearance Bag by SYOUMA. The name of the trick is pretty self-explanatory. This is a simple empty bag that features magic suddenly appearing within. The surface is mesh and the inside can be seen through. It can be used in combination with the jumbo invisible deck. It's an incredible prop and very creative. Craig and Ryland enjoyed this product, awarding it a 90% and 97% rating respectively.

Milk Box

The last product Craig & Ryland looked at this week is Milk Box by Marcus Cruz. This new magic is exactly what it says it is. You show an empty tube inside and then magically produce three milk boxes. Penguin Magic goes on to state, "Tell your audience that each carton of milk has different flavours, the blue is the classic milk flavour, the red is the deslato and the brown is the chocolate flavour." Despite claiming this product has been made with high quality material, It's substandard, badly made, not worth the money, it won't work and it wouldn't last long at all. It was so bad that Ryland cut it up into pieces. Craig gave this product -500% while Ryland gave it -Nothing%. It wouldn't fool anyone.

That's everything for this week's Magic Review Show. Some of the tricks were great while others were not so much. We highly recommend avoiding Milk Box & Ribbon CAAN. You can watch the full Magic Review Show below to see Craig & Ryland break down each routine in depth. Check it out and let us know if you plan on getting one of these tricks.
